Comparison PC4 vs. 2-cycle)

SIZE AND WEIGHT PERMITS MAXIMUM
CARGO CARRYING CAPACITY

PC4 diesels, with their reduced weight and space requirements free-up more space for cargo than comparable large 2-cycle engines. Diagrams show comparison of two 12 cylinder PC4 engines with a comparable horsepower 2-cycle engine in the machinery space of a 270,000 dwt tanker.
